We need your help now more than ever.
In past years, we have seen our visits level off or decline over the summer months but this year, we have had an average increase of 55% over the past two months. In July alone, we served 68% more clients than we did last year! That is 124 more families in two months. This gradual increase month over month has been challenging for us to manage. Increased food output and long waits is putting a strain on our volunteer resources.
There are a number of ways to help the Aurora Food Pantry. Visit our "How you can Help" page for more information on how you can get involved.
ADULT VOLUNTEERS ARE NEEDED NOW!
There is a wait list for student volunteer positions. New spots will be available in September. Please click HERE to sign up for a spot at one of our FUTURE orientations.

Clients will be asked to call at least 60 mins in advance of their trip and to book a ride to and from the Pantry. Spots fill up quickly so we encourage you to call as early in the morning as possible to secure your ride.
Cost is $4.00 cash fare each way or you can use your YRT tickets or pass.

2015 - 25 Years of Giving
Welcome to the Aurora Food Pantry
Since 1990 the Aurora Food Pantry has been distributing food at no cost to residents of Aurora and north Oak Ridges. The purpose of the food pantry is to provide food to those who demonstrate an immediate need. The clients who come to the Aurora Food Pantry for help have faced a variety of circumstances. For many, an unexpected expense, an illness, or accident, loss of income becomes a crisis which forces them to choose between paying for groceries, rent, or utilities. The Aurora Food Pantry provides food assistance to individuals and families during their toughest times. In 2014, the pantry provided meals for 6300 people in need in our community.
Remembering Jim Rummenie
Jim Rummenie, longtime supporter and volunteer at Aurora Food Pantry passed away today, December 18th, 2015.
